Dark Cherry Maple

DARK CHERRY MAPLE SCALLOPS WRAPPED IN BACON   

Ingredients:

12 Scallops, cut in half 24 slices of bacon, cooked how ever you like Salt / Pepper / Olive oil 1/2 Jar NJS Dark Cherry Maple BBQ Sauce

Directions:

*Preheat oven to broil* - If using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes 1) Make sure to remove that pesky side muscle off the scallop. Just google how to clean scallops, f you need help. Trust me! 2) Slice Scallops in half and gently wrap in bacon and secure with skewers. 4-5 scallops to a skewer. 3) Place scallops onto a foil lined baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. 4) Cook them under the broiler (checking them often) 5) After 6-8 minutes check to make sure bacon isn't burning. Continue cooking if bacon isn't crisped up for a few more minutes. Then drizzle with NJS Dark Cherry Maple and broil for 2 more minutes Eat and Enjoy!!

DARK CHERRY GRILLED MAPLE CHICKEN THIGHS   

Ingredients:

6 skinless, boneless Chicken Thighs Spice rub of choice salt/pepper Dark Cherry Maple NJS sauce Spice Rub idea: 1 tbs salt 1 tsp pepper 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 tsp chili powder 1 tsp cumin This is our favorite rub for chicken feel free to change to your taste!!

Directions:

1. Preheat grill to medium high heat using indirect heat brush or spray grill with oil 2. Grill the chicken 4 to 6 minutes per side or until opaque and cooked through. 3. Brush chicken with Dark Cherry Maple and grill and additional 1 minute each side over direct heat getting desired grill marks Eat and Enjoy!!!

DARK CHERRY MAPLE PULLED PORK   

Ingredients:

4 lbs Pork Shoulder Spice rub 6 ¾ oz Organic Apple Juice 2 oz POM Cherry Juice ½ jar NJS Dark Cherry Maple or Saweet Heat Or GOSH or That’s A Spicy Pear or Strawberry Habanero...really they are all so good you should try all of them !!

Directions:

1. Rub Pork with spice blend of your choice and add to slow cooker and cook on low for 8-10 hours 2. Shred pork and add NJS Dark Cherry Maple, mixing to combine 3. Serve half as sandwiches and save other half for some nachos, or Shepard's pie, or omelets.. The possibilities are endless.

Helpful Notes:

Bbq Spice Rub: ½ c Brown Sugar 3 tbsp paprika 2 tsp Chili Powder 1 tbsp salt 1 tsp Cumin 1 tsp pepper ¼ tsp cayenne pepper This is absolutly one of those recipes that you could use any of the NJS sauces. Play around with it and change the juice/liquid you use to go along with the sauce.

DARK CHERRY MAPLE PULLED CHICKEN   

Ingredients:

1 8 oz jar of NJS Dark Cherry Maple Bbq sauce 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts salt/pepper

Directions:

1. Season chicken with salt/pepper and then lay chicken breasts in the bottom of slow cooker, and pour NJS Dark Cherry Maple bbq sauce on top. Toss around once to combine so that the chicken is evenly coated in the sauce.  2. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and shreds easily. Now this is where I tell everyone to use your judgment if you think your slow cooker runs hotter or colder than others raise or lower the time  3. Use two forks to shred the chicken in the slow cooker, and toss it once more so that it soaks up the remaining juices. 4. Serve chicken on buns or however you would like, drizzled with some extra bbq sauce
